Road to Hope
The Oi! “Road to Hope” program is our signature program that focuses on specific individuals that are ready for the fight to overcome poverty, while preparing to thrive in the burgeoning Hospitality and Tourism Industries of Cape Town.
NOTE: Because of unresolved personal or family trauma, many South Africans will become unemployed after 6 months. Equipping them to understand their trauma and to heal from it MUST be part of a work development program.
Each group starts with 10 to 12 participants and their families at the start of the quarter at which time a new group will rotate in. Each group will grow together in Oikos Methodologies to heal themselves, their families and their communities while gaining knowledge, experience and certifications in the hospitality and tourism industry that is so vital to South Africa’s economy. This “connection ministry style” is the type of programming the Murdock’s have pioneered in the states that builds hope and stability through education, trauma informed care, opportunity and meaningful discipleship.
COMMUNITY MATTERS
Building community through programming builds trust and insight for becoming changemakers. The African phrase "It Takes A Village" is powerful, but it won't start without trust, hope and connection.
